Curriculum Vitae



Kakhaber Zarnadze was born in 1966 in Tbilisi.
He graduated from
I.Nikoladze Art College and Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts.

Kakhaber is an artist, goldsmith and gun maker.  

Nowadays Kakhaber Zarnadze’s works are kept in private collections of citizens of more than one hundred different countries, including collections of countries’ authorities:

Kakhaber Zarnadze is already a 5th generation gun maker, who inherited these skills from his grand father, Shalva Zarnadze, while painting skills – from Georgia’s honored artist, Nikoloz Tabukashvili.   

From 1984 up-to-date more than ten exhibitions of Kakhaber Zarnadze’s works were organized in art galleries and the Tbilisi History Museum, Georgia.  

In 1993 he established federation of martial art  “Khridoli”. 

In 1997 Kakhaber established the Georgian martial art research centre “Jgiragi”, where he still continues research work.

In 2000, Kakhaber Zarnadze was recognized as an unique master of cold steel and was granted duke diploma. 

K.Zarnadze has organized more than 20 expeditions in the different places of Georgia and he has discovered tens of historically important systems of fighting instructing and related rituals.

In 1995 UNESCO approved materials obtained by him and recognized them as unique ones in the world.  

Kahaber Zarnadze is an author of many articles and educational broadcastings and nowadays, he as a supervisor of Georgian martial art research centre “Jgiragi”, works on the following books: 

bullet Georgian martial art “Deeds of Bravery” (Zneni Samamaconi”) (XII volume);
bullet Catalogue of Georgian cold steel (weapon)
bullet Forging technologies of Georgian cold steel and related rituals

Objective

First of all, the objective of Kakhaber Zarnadze is to rescue/save Georgian cultural heritage and to rehabilitate old Georgian forging, in addition, restoration of Georgian snatch art has an utmost importance for preserving world-famous, deliberately hidden spheres of Georgian cultural heritage.
